Homework #4

The emotion I chose for my eyes were love. I created cartoon looking eyes with the ellipse tool. Using the curvature tool, I made a semi-oval shape which is the brown looking lids on the eyes. I reflected these lids vertically and horizontally so that they could be equal on both eyes. Also using the curvature tool I created hearts in the eyes so that the character looks like they are looking at someone/something they love. I duplicated the hearts and adjusted the shapes and color so that there could be multiple different ones in the eyes. To perfect the shape of my heart, I added more points in the curvature tool to round the edges and create the points. I then created eyebrows and eyelashes to show more emotion. To add more to the theme of love, I created a background that would be colorful with hearts. I layered them on top of each other to add dimension.

For my alien, I created a green ellipse shape. I then created arms using the curvature tool and duplicated them. Then changing the shape and angle of each, I added more arms in different colors. I then combined them all together by uniting them in the ellipse by using pathfinder tool. To create the tongue, I created a half curve and line segment on top to join them all together. The first is my alien in PNG and second is in SVG.
